Avoiding the news

...so I have taken to avoiding the news for a little while. I know it isn't very socially responsible of me, but how much negativity can you fit into a 1 hour or even a 1/2 hour broadcast. I can't help but to wonder...if we were bombarded with all of the wonderful things people do for other people, would it change how we perceive mankind? It's interesting the hold that fear and despair have over us. Unfortunately, I don't think many people would watch the happy news channel. Would you?

Cold hands and a runny nose

Since the weather is already starting to get cold(ish) here (sometimes), I have already begun to switch out the clothes from summer to fall/winter. And with the switching out of the clothes comes FOOTBALL season complete with cold hands and runny noses...just the way I remember it....(again having trouble with the return key to start a new paragraph, so bear with the ...) anyway, my daughter is currently across the country road playing football with some kids. Cold hands and runny nose...things are going as well as can be expected here. I am trying really hard to do what I think is best for Madissen and myself right now, but I sometimes have a hard time justifying why I left. Then I think...for cold hands and a runny nose. It is working for her. That will have to be enough for me...for now.

I really don't mean it...

I really don't mean to NOT be posting! Most of you know I am staying with my parents who have a sllllloooooowwww dial-up service and since this is the country, there aren't a lot of wireless capabilities...although I am working on that! Also, blogger is blocked from my classroom so down time is actually spent working. I promise more to come soon! Just wanted to let you all know not to give up on me!
