"The reality of the other person lies not in what he reveals to you, but what he cannot reveal to you. Therefore, if you would understand him, listen not to what he says, but rather to what he does not say." --Kahlil Gibran

A Vacation based on food!

My parents are coming for a visit from March 13 to March 21. I am really excited. They are bringing my nephew with them.

Funny, the email I sent my parents was an itinerary of where I wanted to take them...when I looked at it...it was based on food! Haha!

We have Grogg's for traditional Irish faire on St. Patty's Day.

We have Splash Cafe in Pismo for clam chowder.

We have BBQ at Everett & Jones in Oakland.

We have Indian gaming for fun and buffet!

We have to take the kids for a co-birthday party at John's Incredible.

We have La Boulangerie for pastries and the like.

Any suggestions? I want to take them into Tower, but I am not sure what the seventies Midwestern couple would appreciate...any advice?

May sound like a commercial, but hey...whatever.

So, tomorrow…

I have to go have this “procedure” done.

When I was 14…I didn’t understand what was happening in the world around me or right next to me. It just happened to me.

When I was a teenager, I hated myself and was really irresponsible with my life. I didn’t mean it. I wasn’t a bad kid. Just stuck in a rut in my own mind. Scared. Sad. Depressed.

Anyway…I have to have this procedure done because of my life 20 years ago.

Mothers…vaccinate your daughters against HPV.

Mothers…your daughters don’t always mean to make the decisions they do.

Mothers…you may raise your daughters “better than that,” but there are other factors you cannot control.

Fathers…you want to be there, but you aren’t always.

If something can protect your daughter’s piece of mind in the future so she doesn’t have to worry about cervical cancer for the rest of her life…protect your daughter…especially because she means to protect herself, but can’t always.
