"The reality of the other person lies not in what he reveals to you, but what he cannot reveal to you. Therefore, if you would understand him, listen not to what he says, but rather to what he does not say." --Kahlil Gibran

Family BBQ

Yesterday at school, Stig and I were invited to a graduation party being dually thrown for whom to us would be volleyball players for Stig, and students for me.

We decided to go because the two boys in question are the kind of kids that keep you coming back to the job. Both have been very hard working, sweet, sound, respectful, intelligent, etc...you get the point.

Anyway, we get there and realized something. We had not been invited to a graduation party. We had been invited to a family BBQ.

What an honor it felt that these families felt it important for us to share this evening with them and wanted to invite us into their families.

I think it is safe to speak for Stig here in saying that we needed that.

yeah tell it girl!!

but seriously, I was flattered and couldn't believe that we were invited. They are a very sweet family and very good young men.

I needed that more than words can express.

That's cool. Always nice to recognized in that manner. It wasn't forced or planned or anything like that.
