"The reality of the other person lies not in what he reveals to you, but what he cannot reveal to you. Therefore, if you would understand him, listen not to what he says, but rather to what he does not say."
--Kahlil Gibran
I have made some pretty seemingly sexist comments myself...which I need to keep in check. I think the thing that pisses me off is that because she is "attractive" she is more "tolerable" than Hillary Clinton. So much of an issue has been made about her skirts instead of pantsuits...it is frustrating. I have to remind myself to keep it to the issues. Loved the article--really brought it home for me.
Right, well, I believe the GOP will use whatever aspect of Palin's nomination that they can to play the victim card instead of actually speak to the issues. I saw a clip from Obama's interview with Olbermann last night and Olbermann asked him something about Palin's qualifications or record. Obama was quick to say, "Let's look at McCain and her policies." He's handling this much better than the media.

Great article. The double standard has been mind-boggling this last election cycle, as well as infuriating.
