"The reality of the other person lies not in what he reveals to you, but what he cannot reveal to you. Therefore, if you would understand him, listen not to what he says, but rather to what he does not say." --Kahlil Gibran

Goodbye 2007

First--I found my cell phone! Thanks, Adam!

Goodbye 2007-

:( A difficult first of the year...

:( The worst Valentine's Day ever.

:) Madissen turned 10.

:( My dad was not feeling well.

:( I lost my grandmother, Busia.

:) I got a pretty good gig of a job!

:( I said goodbye to family and friends back in Ohio.

:) I moved back to California.

:) We got married in Vegas!

:) My parents bought a new house that they deserve!

:) My dad is feeling better!

:) Joel and I are so close to being out of debt. Other than school loans 2008 will be the year!

:) Mads got all As on her grade card (and 5th grade is pretty tough)!

:) Stig and The Jay got engaged!

:) Joel graduated with a dual bachelor's degree in history and philosophy!

:( I have put on 12 happy pounds...but every pound has been worth being happy... :)

...As you can see the year began less than perfect, but the end of 2007 made up for all of the difficulties faced in the beginning.

Looking forward to riding the wave into 2008!

Happy New Year!

Be safe!

Oh...before I go...resolutions?!?

Travel more.
Love harder.

HELP!

It is 4:25 am on Saturday, December 29.

I left Adams a short while ago...apparently without my cell phone.

Adam...I hope my phone is at your house. I tried to call it, but no one heard or no one wanted to answer my phone.

Please, I hope my phone is there.

I am in a panic.

Family

Family.

Over the course of my almost 34 years of life, I have come to realize that you CAN choose your family. And, sometimes, one or two choose you, too.

Thank you Harp family.

Thank you Sligh/Elia family.

Thank you Simpson family.

Thank you Peoples family.

Thank you Family Circle (Becky, Jay, Ed, Heather, Adam, Katie, Sara, Woody, Georgia, Kendall, and all else who have welcomed me to Fresno)

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Ramadan, Happy Winter Solstice...whatever you celebrate...

Be happy doing it!

What Feels Like Forever

...We finally have the internet back at home!

Not that I need anything else to keep me busy, but I have felt left out of the loop for so long. I cannot access my blog from school...that is why I was gone for so long.

I am looking at a three week "vacation." I am glad to not have to go to school for a little while, but I need to complete 12 credit hours worth of classes over that time and still have basketball, so I may need a vacation from my vacation!

Yeah...Stig and Jay are coming and I will see you all soon!

I am back...so I will write more later!
